Bolton stadium hotel becomes Radisson Image: Bolton Wanderers

EFL League One club Bolton Wanderers have completely refurbished the Bolton Stadium Hotel, while it has also become a member of the Radisson Hotel Group.

Bolton Wanderers said the Bolton Stadium Hotel, which opened back in October 2000, now boasts 125 rooms ranging from a Standard Double to Suites overlooking the Toughsheet Community Stadium pitch.

Bolton Wanderers Football Club is a professional football club based in Bolton, Lancashire, England (UK), which competes in EFL League One, the third tier of English football.

The 28,723-capacity Toughsheet Community Stadium is the home ground of Bolton Wanderers F.C. Opening in 1997, it was originally named the Reebok Stadium, after club sponsors Reebok.

The on-site hotel has recently undergone a state-of-the-art refurbishment across a third of the rooms, as well as upgrades made to the stylish Bar and Lounge area.

The Hotel has become the perfect venue for both those visiting the stadium as well as those staying for business nearby.

The Hotel also offers three modern meeting rooms that act as the ideal setting for businesses to host corporate events of varying capacity, whether that be for personal one-to-one catch ups to conferences housing up to 80 people.

Linking in with the Football Club, Bolton Stadium Hotel offers an exclusive ‘Back of the Net’ matchday package, inclusive of an overnight stay with breakfast and two match tickets for the game itself.

Bolton Wanderers further stated that the recent movement of the Bolton Stadium Hotel into Radisson’s portfolio is another exciting step, with the Radisson Hotel Group helping to ensure high standards and quality of service continue to be met as the Hotel grows from strength to strength, whilst allowing it to maintain its unique details and personality – characteristics that has contributed to the success of the Hotel for more than two decades.

Liz Keay, General Manager of Bolton Stadium Hotel, said, “With the recent refurbishment and the Hotel joining the Radisson Individuals partnership, this is an exciting period for the Bolton Stadium Hotel.

“We are the first in their portfolio to be situated within a sports setting and we are looking forward to seeing what working with Radisson can do to help take us to the next level.

“The Hotel continues to grow from strength-to-strength, whether that be through the ever-rising number of bookings into the hotel to our increasingly popular food and drink areas on Wanderers’ matchdays – making us one of the best ways to take in the pre-match atmosphere.”

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers, said, “We are delighted to be linking up with the Radisson Hotel Group as part of this new partnership.

“With over 1,300 hotels across 95 countries, Radisson are a global and reputable brand and that can only benefit the Hotel moving forward across a number of areas – as we strive to build on the success of the last few years.

“On top of this, the recent refurbishment is another step we’ve taken to continue to upscale and enhance our offering inside the Hotel. As you can see, our rooms are exemplary, the food and drink options are delicious and our service is exceptional – making it the perfect place to stay for anyone needing a Hotel in and around Bolton.”

Tom Flanagan Karttunen, Area Senior Vice President Northern & Western Europe, Radisson Hotel Group, added, “We are thrilled to bring our Radisson Individuals brand to this well-established and renowned hotel and major event & convention venue.

“This is the first Radisson Individuals’ property to be situated within a sports stadium. We look forward to providing our guests with memorable moments at this fantastic venue.”
