German football club Arminia Bielefeld is extending its long-term partnership with Schüco International until 2028.

Arminia Bielefeld said the joint agreement is valid until June 2028 and also includes the naming rights for the club’s stadium, SchücoArena.

The club currently participates in the 3. Liga, the third tier of German Football.

Schüco International is a Bielefeld-based specialist for window, door and façade systems and the company’s name has been on the club jersey without interruption since 2016 and has been the naming partner of the SchücoArena for 20 years.

Bielefelder Alm is a football stadium in Bielefeld, Germany which is home of the football club DSC Arminia Bielefeld and mostly used for the club’s matches.

Formerly named Stadion Alm, it is currently known as SchücoArena due to a sponsorship deal with the Bielefeld-based window, door, and façade manufacturers.

The stadium currently has a capacity of 27,332 following the most recent major renovations completed in 2008.

Club Managing Director Christoph Wortmann said, “The extension of this unique partnership is a clear declaration of loyalty for us and shows how closely Arminia and Schüco have been connected for many years.

“It is also a sign of trust, for which we would like to expressly thank Schüco. We would like to continue to breathe life into this cooperation and continue to be a reliable partner in the years to come.”

Andreas Engelhardt, partner at Schüco International, said, “Schüco and DSC Arminia Bielefeld are more than just long-term partners. We are united by our home town of Bielefeld, the East Westphalian will to persevere and the great team spirit.

“We believe in the strength of the team and are grateful for the passion of the fans. Together with DSC Arminia Bielefeld, we want and will continue to experience exciting sporting moments and celebrate successes in the coming years.”

The cooperation with Schüco already has a long history: the company from Bielefeld was on the chest of team jerseys as early as the 2010/11 season and between 1988 and 1991.

In addition, the naming rights of the home stadium are one of the longest in German professional football.

Only the stadiums in Leverkusen (1998), Wolfsburg (2002) and Cologne (also 2004) can point to a longer or equally long connection with a partner for the naming rights of their arena.
