NFL Pro Bowl to return to Orlando Image: Camping World Stadium

The National Football League (NFL) Pro Bowl Games, a multiday event featuring the nation’s (US) best professional football players, will take place in Orlando in February 2025.

The Pro Bowl Game features the NFL’s biggest stars as voted on by the coaches, the players and the fans. It’s been held annually since 1951 but its format got a revamp in 2023 to feature a mixture of live and taped skills and a flag football game.

‘ORLANDO WEEKLY’ stated that Orlando hosted the NFL Pro Bowls at the Camping World Stadium from 2017 to 2020 and again in 2024. The event drew over 55,000 fans to Orlando last year, according to the NFL.

New York (US)-based the National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league that consists of 32 teams divided equally between the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC).

The National Football League All-Star Game, Pro Bowl, or Pro Bowl Games is an annual event held by the National Football League (NFL) featuring the league’s star players. The format has changed throughout the years.

The 60,219-capacity Camping World Stadium is an outdoor stadium in Orlando, Florida, United States located in the West Lakes neighborhood of Downtown Orlando, West of the new sports and entertainment facilities including the 20,000-capacity Kia Center, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and the 25,500-capacity Inter&Co Stadium.

The flag football is a variant of gridiron football (American football or Canadian football depending on the location) where, instead of tackling players to the ground, the defensive team must remove a flag or flag belt from the ball carrier (‘deflagging’) to end a down.

‘ORLANDO WEEKLY’ further stated that the Mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, blasted the news on X saying his City was “thrilled” to host once again – “As the nation’s top sports destination, our City is looking forward to again welcoming the NFL’s best players, their families and football fans from around the nation (US).”

Fans can now look forward to a mix of skills competitions, which last year included precision passing, tug-of-war, a dodgeball tournament, and a relay race. The entire event is a competition between teams from the AFC and the NFC leagues. It concludes with flag football.

Put in Peter O’Reilly, NFL Executive Vice-President of Events, “The players helped create this new format two years ago and each year we add new elements and surprises. Orlando has a history of hosting many successful Pro Bowls and we look forward to partnering with the City.”

This year, the Bowl will feature events across Central Florida, including fan experiences. The NFL will provide the schedule and details further into the season.
