Sodexo Live! has won an 11-year contract as venue partner for Fulham Football Club (UK) on its new Fulham Pier development.

‘facilitate’ stated that Fulham Pier, the club’s new Riverside development at Craven Cottage, will have space for almost 4,000 extra seats and is destined to become one of London’s leading leisure destinations on the banks of the Thames.

The Fulham Football Club is an English professional association football club based in Fulham, London (UK). They compete in the Premier League in the current 2022-2023 seasons following their promotion. Founded in 1879, they are London’s oldest football club playing professionally.

The Craven Cottage is a football ground in Fulham, West London, England (UK), which has been the home of Fulham F.C. since 1896. The ground’s capacity is 22,384, the record attendance is 49,335 for a game against its peer team Millwall F.C. in 1938.

Sodexo Live! deliver far more than world-class sports, leisure and travel experiences. It provides access to the kind of insight and expertise that surprises and delights guests, enriches lives and turns venues and events into unforgettable memories.

London’s next great destination will be Fulham Pier. Designed by architect Populous, the development will bring about a sea change in the riverside walkway and will transform the same into a world class leisure destination, a pathway that will allow an uninterrupted walk along the banks of the River Thames between Hammersmith and Putney Bridges and a choice of amenities for visitors to enjoy throughout the year.

‘facilitate’ further stated that it will include restaurants, a Riverside Market, meeting and events spaces, bars and lounges, a basement entertainment venue, a boutique hotel, and a spa. The matchday capacity of the whole venue after the development will be 28,000.

Under the deal, Sodexo Live! will deliver hospitality, retail and non-event day sales and catering, as well as supporting the club as a strategic commercial partner as it transforms Craven Cottage.

The venues and events division of Sodexo said it would work with the club to support the physical delivery of the venue and act as a commercial lead to bring together a selection of retail brands from London’s restaurant and entertainment scene as partners.

Said David Trotter, Divisional Managing Director of Sodexo Live! UK & Ireland, “This is an incredible project that will put Fulham Pier at the heart of its community, as a leader in cutting-edge hospitality and leisure. We are delighted to be the venue partner for Fulham F.C. and look forward to bringing the breadth of our knowledge in hospitality, retail, guest experience, and venue management to this amazing project.”

Added Alistair Mackintosh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fulham F.C., “Fulham Pier is a gamechanging development for the local community. It will not only bring a wide range of high-quality amenities to the area, it will also attract visitors from far and wide. We are glad to be working with Sodexo Live! on the project and we look forward to making Fulham Pier a remarkable destination.”
