New entertainment district on the way in Mansfield Image: City of Mansfield

The City of Mansfield (Texas, US) and its partners recently celebrated the start of construction on a district that will become an entertainment destination.

‘MANSFIELD TEXAS’ stated that the groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 19th on Heritage Parkway.

The Texas Heritage Parkway is a 6.3-mile, four-lane boulevard located in Fort Bend County and Waller County, Texas. It serves as a North/South thoroughfare.

Maintained the City of Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans, “The Staybolt Street will be a gamechanger for the Mansfield community. For a long time, Mansfield has had a reputation as one the best places to live and now with Staybolt it’ll be known as an exceptional place to play.”

The Staybolt Street is the name of a 100-acre entertainment district in Mansfield, Texas (US) that will include a stadium, arcade, bowling alley, and a rooftop concert venue. The district is intended to foster a sense of unity and excitement in the community. The district is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 and will host both youth and elite athletics.

‘MANSFIELD TEXAS’ further stated that the multisport stadium will seat around 7,000. While the City will own the venue, the REV Entertainment (in-house events department delivering content to venues) and the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Dallas will manage the day-to-day operations and develop the year-long programing.

The FC Dallas is an American professional soccer club based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The club competes as a member of the Western Conference in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Toyota Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium located in Frisco, a suburb of Dallas, Texas, United States. Built and owned by the City of Frisco, the 20,500-seat stadium opened in 2005. It serves as the home field of the MLS team FC Dallas.

The 100-acre district will bring one of the first High5 Entertainment venues to the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. This three-story, family-friendly space will feature fun for all including bowling alleys, arcade games and a rooftop concert venue.

The name Staybolt Street honors Mansfield’s history while embodying the spirit of the community’s bond. In the year 1860, Julian Feild and Ralph Man built the first steam-powered mill in Mansfield laying the foundation for the growing town. Within that mill was a boiler powered by a small but crucial component – the staybolt. This modest yet vital piece kept the energy contained and cohesive. That legacy lays the path for this new district to foster a sense of unity and excitement in the community.

Said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment, “We are honored to partner with the City of Mansfield and FC Dallas on the Mansfield Stadium project. This groundbreaking is a landmark moment for the City and marks the first step towards endless opportunities that will be available in the Entertainment District.”

Concluded Jimmy Smith, FC Dallas Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), “Providing opportunities for the communities across North Texas to play and experience soccer is an important part of what we do at FC Dallas. We’re thrilled to work with the City of Mansfield and REV on this project to help grow the game and introduce more fans to the sport.”
